This interior renovation of a second-floor apartment in the Gramercy neighborhood of Manhattan transformed a dark, cramped space into an open, light-filled environment.
Soffit and accent lighting were incorporated to introduce diffused illumination, addressing the lack of natural light in the previous design and enhancing the overall ambiance of the apartment.
The layout of the kitchen and living room was optimized by removing a dividing wall, creating a much more flexible and efficient floor plan with ample storage. An integrated island serves as a visual separator between the kitchen and living room, maintaining a sense of openness while also providing additional functional space in the kitchen.
