Interior Renovation and Addition
The interior renovation and addition in the historic neighborhood of Jersey City transformed a rundown apartment into a modern, open, and vibrant space. The design utilized a carefully selected material palette and color scheme to elevate the interior, creating a more sophisticated environment that offers a cozy, "at home" experience for the tenants.
For the roof deck renovation, the goal was to create an open space featuring a green roof. The layout was thoughtfully divided to provide both a private lounge area for intimate moments and a larger section for hosting gatherings with family and friends.
The spaces are separated by elevated floor planes, creating a physical barrier between different zones. Planters and railings were strategically designed and positioned to establish a visual barrier, enhancing the sense of separation. Modern materials, including wood, steel cable railings, and metal elements, were used to craft a sleek and harmonious space that fosters a serene atmosphere for its users.
