This single-story brick building, located across from Brunswick School, has been transformed into a lively and engaging hair salon designed especially for kids. The challenge was to create a space that caters to the playful needs of children while also providing a calm, relaxing environment for their parents.
The design takes a vibrant and imaginative approach, incorporating movable soft seating and custom-designed chairs that are as fun as they are functional. Bold shapes and bright colors were chosen to resonate with children, creating an atmosphere where they can enjoy their grooming experience in a playful, stress-free environment.
To achieve an open and inviting layout, the existing interiors were stripped down, creating a spacious plan that allows for free movement throughout. Instead of rigid partitions, zones within the salon are subtly defined through the strategic placement of furniture and lighting. This thoughtful design ensures a seamless flow while maintaining distinct areas for styling, seating, and relaxation.
The result is a dynamic space that balances creativity with practicality, making every visit an enjoyable experience for kids and parents alike.
