This project involved the renovation and extension of a 1940s house located on a small corner lot in Buenos Aires, measuring just 30’ by 40’. The core idea was to create a house that could grow and adapt to the changing needs of a young couple.
To optimize space, we took advantage of the existing high ceilings and crawl space, incorporating a mezzanine that is open to the new living room. Initially, this mezzanine served as a bedroom, but in the second phase of the project, it was transformed into an office or studio. The design concept centers around a simple two-story box with an open interior patio and flexible spaces, where natural light plays a key role in enhancing the atmosphere.
