Our vision for the Baltimore waterfront aims to transform the existing coastline into a dynamic, public space that serves both residents and visitors. By extending the waterfront with floating parks, we create an innovative solution to the challenge of integrating public spaces into densely populated coastal areas. This approach minimizes the separation typically caused by expanding into the sea, ensuring that the waterfront remains an integral part of the city's urban fabric. The proposal includes five lots along the coast, three of which are dedicated to public parks, while the remaining two feature a mixed-use high-rise with a public library, commercial, and residential spaces.
The waterfront park will offer diverse amenities such as playgrounds, an amphitheater, a market, and a yacht club, fostering community engagement and well-being. The yacht club itself will include a restaurant, rooftop terrace, and an upland beach area, providing a safe and vibrant space for swimmers and sunbathers. This reimagined waterfront complex is designed to be a tourist attraction that enhances the quality of life for the surrounding neighborhoods, while seamlessly connecting the natural landscape with the urban environment.
