The design concept is inspired by the metaphor of "Thought Bubbles," symbolizing the dynamic nature of knowledge. Knowledge, like a series of thought bubbles, emerges suddenly in the mind and fades away just as quickly. As children, we absorb information like sponges, generating more bubbles with every new idea. The more we engage with these thoughts, the more our intellectual bubble expands. By sharing our ideas, we contribute to the collective knowledge of society.
In this context, the library is conceived as a bubble itself, enveloping the past and the future, gathering the materials and spaces necessary to foster the growth of common knowledge. The design is a dialogue between the past and the future, recognizing that while libraries have historically been the go-to places for information, today, thanks to technological advancements, information is available at the fingertips of almost everyone.
Our proposal envisions the library as a modern space—less a traditional repository and more a "temple" for the contemplation of all forms of knowledge. It is not only a place to read but a hub for encounter, discussion, and community, fostering the exchange of ideas and expansion of intellectual horizons.
